Reviving the glory of festivals that have taken place for years in the village at the gates of Teverina, and which have seen the greatest Italian and international jazz musicians perform, Francesco Cafiso arrives on the historic stage of Piazza Cristofori on August 9th. Cafiso, who played in Washington DC during the celebrations in honor of President Barack Obama and Martin Luther King Jr. Day before he was even twenty, will perform.

The Francesco Cafiso Quartet, presented in Bagnoregio, is an exciting project rooted in jazz: swing, blues, interplay, and creativity are the true protagonists of this music. It features musicians of notable artistic caliber, with specific technical and tonal characteristics that, in addition to generating a compact group sound, enjoy ample space to improvise and give their best.

The repertoire, fresh and varied, consists of original pieces written by Cafiso and part of some of his recording projects rearranged for this ensemble, to achieve a robust and powerful sonic impact. This music has many colors and suggests a wide range of emotions and sensations. The entire concert is characterized by a great propulsive force and energy capable of engaging the audience.

Francesco Cafiso was an enfant prodige of international jazz. At the age of nine, he began his journey, gaining experience with internationally renowned musicians such as Bob Mintzer, George Gruntz, and Gianni Basso. A decisive moment in his career was his encounter with Wynton Marsalis during the Pescara Jazz Festival in July 2002. Impressed by his musical qualities, Marsalis took him on the 2003 European tour. Since then, Francesco has played at the most important jazz festivals, theaters, and jazz clubs worldwide.
