Bagnoregio, a Record-Breaking Edition of the Living Nativity Scene

Record-breaking Edition of the Living Nativity Scene in Bagnoregio

Proceeds Allocated for the Purchase of a Covered Special Vehicle for Disabled Transport

A Collaborative Effort for a National Attraction

A remarkable achievement for the Living Nativity Scene in Civita di Bagnoregio. The latest edition has generated a total revenue of approximately 83,000 euros. This great success was built through the collaboration of the Bagnoregio Municipality, Casa Civita, and the Red Cross section of Bagnoregio and Lubriano, which has been organizing the event for years, garnering national attention.

A collective effort involving a significant portion of the town, combined with the splendid backdrop of Civita, attracted tens of thousands of visitors. "Complete satisfaction, such a result had never been seen before," summarized Stefano Bizzarri, President of the local Red Cross section. "Our thanks – the President continues – go to the municipal administration and Casa Civita for the trust placed in us, to law enforcement, local police, firefighters, and civil protection for their indispensable support in maintaining public order throughout the event's duration. Thanks to the parish priests of Civita and Bagnoregio, municipal employees, residents, and the Confraternity of Civita, the Pro Loco of Bagnoregio, the Geological and Landslide Museum, the owners of the village's businesses, and all the participants who skillfully interpreted their roles with dedication, sacrificing precious time to spend with their families. Thanks to the volunteers and all those who contributed to the initiative's success."

Every year, the Living Nativity Scene in Civita realizes a social goal that the Red Cross decides upon in agreement with the municipal administration, and the proceeds from the latest edition will be used to acquire a covered special vehicle for disabled transport to Civita.

"As is tradition, this year the proceeds from our living nativity scene will be used to enhance the town and our hospitality. The acquisition of a covered special transport vehicle will make it possible to overcome the architectural barrier represented by the bridge, offering all the comforts. I thank the Red Cross, Casa Civita, and all who contributed to this significant collective effort. The Living Nativity Scene is one of the finest facets that Bagnoregio presents to the world," expressed Mayor Luca Profili.

"For Casa Civita – notes Francesco Bigiotti, CEO of Casa Civita – this marks the first edition of the Living Nativity Scene, which reaffirms its importance as a moment of community unity and gathering."
