Civita di Bagnoregio among the Italian villages promoted by the Ministry of Tourism in Korea

Civita di Bagnoregio takes the spotlight in the promotional efforts led by the Ministry of Tourism in South Korea. Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanché is currently on a visit to the Asian country, aiming to strengthen the bonds of friendship and exchange between Korea and Italy.

"Considering the growing interest in Italy, we must reinforce the promotion of destinations that are away from the traditional tourism circuits but possess great charm, such as small villages where culture, food and wine, and sports, along with natural beauty, become attractions. This is one of the reasons why Italy has been the main European destination for Korean tourists. Despite the pandemic-related pause, arrivals are significantly increasing again," said Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanché during her official visit to Seoul – the first by an Italian minister since the pandemic.

In the communication campaign conducted by the Ministry in Korea, the image of Civita is among the selected ones to enhance and promote interest in Italy. "We are proud of this significant promotion effort in Southeast Asia," commented Luca Profili, the Mayor of Bagnoregio. "The Asian tourism market is strategic, and the presence of Koreans has had a noteworthy impact on the flows to Civita for several years. We thank the Ministry of Tourism and Minister Daniela Santanché for their efforts. We also thank Honorable Mauro Rotelli, a member of parliament from Viterbo, who is working diligently to seize every opportunity to promote our Tuscia territory, and Honorable Gianluca Caramanna."
